I am in charge of opening, closing, and transferring investment accounts and of getting Long-Term Care and Life insurance for our clients. I assist with the writing of clients’ financial plans, work on tax returns, and do special projects.

I also teach Mathematics at Central New Mexico Community College. I have been married for twelve years to Kevin Copps. I love to read novels and to work in the garden and am especially interested in plants that like the NM climate. And, believe it or not, I love to prepare tax returns!

Hi! I’m the employee who has been with Steve the longest—since January, 1999.

I do the firm’s bookkeeping, and I am in charge of scanning, working to reduce our paper in a paper-intensive business.

I am Steve’s right hand when it comes to preparing tax returns—I do much of the quality control. I’m also the one who teaches our staff the “Getting Ready for Tax Season” workshop, and I test our tax preparation processes and see that we have worked out the bugs before we go live every February. In addition, I research New Mexico tax issues and prepare tax-related reports for our clients.

I know our clients well, especially those who have been with us over three years, and I provide a familiar face and voice for them to relate to.

Personal:
I have been married to the same wonderful man, my very own native Hawaiian, since 1969. We have two children: Keloa Amber, and Kanoa, who is married to Nicole and has two children.

When I’m not working, I relax and enjoy my two grandchildren. Lately, I travel often to Phoenix to help care for my mom. Gardening is another enjoyed pastime.
